Mathematics laboratory is a place to enjoy mathematics through informal exploration.
It is a place where anyone can generate problems and struggle to get an answer.
It is a space to explore and design new mathematical activities. Therefore, the
Maths Lab is not used to assess students’ knowledge of mathematics but to extend
their understanding beyond the curriculum.
The Mathematics Laboratory is a self-exploratory space with activities where students
can come anytime and engage in learning, continue working on problems, and seek
guidance whenever needed. The teacher’s role is to facilitate inquiry through probing
questions, providing additional resources, and encouraging discussion among peers.
